Keith Cobb
Business Consultant & Strategic Advisor
Mr. Keith Cobb is a business consultant and strategic advisor to several companies. His primary business activity over the past few years has been associated with financial management, corporate restructuring, strategic business unit divestitures and internal control issues
Mr. Cobb serves on the board of directors of Alliance Data Systems Corp. (NYSE - ADS), and is a frequent speaker, panelist and participant in corporate governance conferences and seminars, focused primarily on audit committee responsibilities.
Prior to this, Mr. Cobb was Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alamo Rent A Car, Inc., in the mid-1990s prior to its sale to AutoNation, Inc. In addition, he has held several senior leadership positions over a 32-year career at KPMG, most recently as National Managing Partner - Financial Services. He had national responsibility for the banking, insurance, mutual fund, investment banking and real estate practices of the firm. He was a senior member of KPMG's Management Committee for a five-year period.
Mr. Cobb also served a six-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Miami Branch, a branch bank of the Federal Reserve System that deals with U. S. monetary policy and bank regulation. He also is a former director of several corporate boards over the past several years, including BBX Capital Corporation (and its predecessor, BankAtlantic Bancorp), BFC Financial Corporation (a diversified investment company), Chateau Communities, Inc. (an equity REIT), Renaissance Cruises, Inc. (an international cruise line), CRA Investment Fund (a financial services mutual fund), RHR International, Inc, (a global consulting firm) and First Fleet Corporation (a truck leasing company). He also served for four years on the advisory board of Farlie, Turner & Co LLC. (an investment banking firm).
Mr. Cobb serves as an adjunct finance professor in the M.B.A. program at the Huizenga College of Business at Nova Southeastern University.
Mr. Cobb graduated with honors in 1963 from the University of Southern Mississippi.
