Personally speaking, working as an Academic Advisor is more than a career, it is a passion. I am a firm believer in the power of higher education; one’s education is not just a mechanism for professional advancement. Higher education can build confidence in oneself, serve as an example to others and empower individuals to continue striving toward that next big milestone. As such, I am steadfast in working with students to help him or her succeed in reaching the ultimate goal: graduation. My advising philosophy is one that fosters independence and encourages the type of professional relationship expected in any specialized environment.
