Workshop Parking Information

Dear student,

Your Capstone course is held at the Carl DeSantis Building on NSU’s Main Campus. For those students who are unfamiliar with NSU’s Main Campus, the information below will assist you with parking. In order to access student parking, you have two options:

Obtain a Shark Card (NSU ID), if you do not have one yet, and a parking permit (decal). Both are free of charge and can be obtained during normal business hours on NSU’s Main Campus. The Shark Card is obtained at the Card Services Office located in the University Center and the parking permit can be obtained from the One-Stop-Shop located in the Horvitz Administration building. Both offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In order to obtain the Shark Card, students will need:
- NSU N#
In order to obtain the parking permit, students will need:
- Shark Card
- Completed parking permit application, copy of your Vehicle Registration, and a copy of your Driver’s License.
You are encouraged to obtain these documents prior the beginning of the Capstone.
If you do not have the ability to get a Shark Card or parking permit, you are required to park in the open public parking area.
If you plan on getting your Shark Card and parking permit on your first day then this is a good location for parking until you obtain them. The lot is located west of the Carl DeSantis building and north of the parking garage. The lot is numbered AC10 on the electronic gate. This is a free lot.

If you choose to park in the parking garage without a permit you must park in the pay lot on the first floor. The rate is $1 per hour.

When arriving at the Carl DeSantis building from SW 30th avenue you will enter on Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd. Take a right at the stop sign and proceed past the bus stop and entrance to the parking garage. Once you proceed through the next stop sign the entrance to the parking lot is on your right. If you have any questions when you arrive please contact Novalert at (954) 262-8999.
