Public Accounting Certificate

Accelerate Your Accounting Career 

A Public Accounting Certificate from NSU's Huizenga College of Business allows you to pursue your accounting career goals without committing to an advanced degree. In this program, you'll gain extensive training in auditing procedures, tax law, best management practices, and other in-depth financial procedures. You’ll also get opportunities to work on real world projects and obtain coveted internships. 

This certificate is for those with an undergraduate accounting degree seeking a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Upon completion of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination, paving your way to becoming a leader in public accounting.

  • An application and $50 non-refundable application fee. Apply online
  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or for students with degrees from foreign institutions, an official foreign academic evaluation stating equivalent bachelor’s degree, must be submitted from a NACES organization www.naces.org 
  • Students who have earned a degree from a foreign non-English speaking country must submit English proficiency test scores, (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo, ELS)
  • Additional documents and may be required along with the GMAT or GRE based on review by the admissions committee.

Students are required to complete 18 credit hours of upper division Accounting courses and Introductory Accounting
