Business leaders are being challenged today in an environment, which is fast-paced, hyper-connected, and technologically focused. There is a growing interest among thought leaders from varied disciplines such as science, medicine, sports, and business that the practice of mindfulness will enable business managers and employees to develop the required capabilities for effective management and to enhance performance. In addition, organizations will be able to cultivate and develop the leadership potential of their employees through the practice of mindfulness. The workshop will consist of interactive discussion, understanding the nature of the mind, recognize the barriers, learn techniques to overcome the barriers, simple exercises for daily practice, guided meditation and individual feedback (depending on size of the group). Real world situations will be discussed and participants are encouraged to bring their cases to the workshop.
By completing this session, you will have the foundation to:
- Develop self-awareness (awareness of your strengths and developmental needs for weaknesses) and situational awareness
- Identify your goals clearly, prioritize conflicting demands, and remain focused
- Improve your learning agility, grasp complex issues, explore solutions keeping an open mind, and remain adaptable and future-centric
- Make right decisions, remain passionate and steadfast despite being faced with uncertain situations and ambiguous information
- Learn simple exercises to practice mindfulness on a regular basis
- Implement guided meditation sessions for your employees for self-development
This program will be useful for individuals at all levels of an organization and any functional area. Participants will be able to take away lessons for self-development, and in particular how to become effective managers, leaders, and professionals.
