Choose From Three Concentrations

Master of Accounting with a Concentration in Managerial Accounting

Achieving the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) credential demonstrates your mastery of financial planning, analysis, control, and decision support, as well as professional ethics.

Master of Accounting with a Concentration in Public Accounting

Meeting all CPA requirements, the Master of Accounting with Concentration in Public Accounting program will prepare you to enter or further your current career as a professional accountant in financial institutions, government, industry, nonprofit organizations, and public practice.

Master of Accounting with a Concentration in Taxation

An enrolled agent with the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service is the highest IRS-awarded credential you can earn. To secure it, you must either pass a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or have experience as a former IRS employee.

NSU’s Master of Accounting program is 33-51 total credits to complete, depending on undergraduate coursework.

The Master of Accounting concentrations are available to start in August, January, and May.

Classes for the Master of Accounting concentrations are offered through evening programs at our Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus or online.

Tuition

Tuition for the degree program is $899 per credit hour. Discounted rates are available through our employer tuition program.

*Course may be waived at the discretion of the department chair or designee. Waivers will only be considered when an equivalent course with a grade of C has been earned in the past 10 years.

**ACTP 5711 is required for any Master of Accounting student. The course must be taken in the first term. Failure to pass ACTP 5711 will result in a drop from all other courses. This may affect a student’s financial aid. This course is not financial aid eligible when taken by itself.
