2014 Inductees

James Donnelly, Guy Harvey, and Manuel Medina are the 2014 Inductees to the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame

H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship recognizes three accomplished business leaders with induction into the 2014 Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame, the college’s highest honor: James Donnelly, Guy Harvey, and Manuel Medina.

The Inductees and Their Accomplishments 

James Donnelly James Donnelly
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Castle Group

James Donnelly is founder and chief executive officer of the Castle Group, one of the most successful property services firms in the community association industry, specializing in serving condominium and homeowner associations throughout Florida.

The Castle Group is a full-service company providing customized property-related solutions including property and rental management, financial and accounting systems, and a broad spectrum of offerings from developer and web services to lifestyles and concierge services.

Donnelly is a licensed community association manager and a licensed general contractor with more than 25 years of experience serving community associations.

 

Guy HarveyGuy Harvey, Ph.D.
Artist, Scientist, Diver, Angler, Conservationist, and Explorer

Guy Harvey, Ph.D., is a unique blend of artist, scientist, diver, angler, conservationist, and explorer. His first autobiography, Portraits From The Deep, debuted in 2004 as a made-for-television fishing series. The documentary This is Your Ocean: Sharks, premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2011.

Harvey's murals grace locations such as the Don Taft University Center at NSU, the Hollywood-Fort Lauderdale International Airport, the Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman, and the Surf Style parking garage and swim shop in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

The NSU Guy Harvey Research Institute was established in 1999 with a mission to provide the scientific information necessary to understand, conserve and effectively manage the world's marine fishes and their ecosystems. In 2008, the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation was established to fund leading scientists.

Founding and Managing Partner
Medina Capital

Manuel D. Medina is the founding and managing partner of Medina Capital, a high-growth private equity firm focused on the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity markets.

Prior to the formation of Medina Capital and the Technology Foundation of the Americas, Medina was the founder, chairman of the board and CEO of Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ exchange until April 2011 when Terremark was acquired by Verizon Communications, Inc.

Established in 1980, Medina successfully led the company from its beginnings in real estate development to its emergence as a global leader in the IT infrastructure sector providing services for Fortune 500 enterprises and federal government agencies.
