Pair your interest in sports with a desire to become a business leader. To dominate in this competitive industry, you need to know how to maximize revenue streams.

The M.B.A. with a major in Sport Revenue Generation will provide you with a foundation in advanced business administration while focusing on the skills you need to help sports organizations boost their profits, either at the professional, collegiate, or amateur level. You’ll learn how to maximize sales through sponsorship deals, organize fundraising events, devise new income streams through emerging technologies, and make executive-level decisions. Upon completion of this unique program, you’ll not only be prepared for a career in sports, but you’ll be regarded as an industry MVP.

Admission Deadlines:

Winter II 2021: March 1, 2021
Summer 2021: April 30, 2021

  • M.B.A. core courses offered weeknights or during the day on the main campus and online. Sport Revenue Generation courses offered weeknights on the main campus. Sport Revenue Generation courses are offered online.
  • When you see an SPT macjor course being offered in the schedule, take advantage of the offering and enroll or program completion will be delayed, the concentrations courses are not offered every semester.
    (Check the projected SPT course schedule to help you plan your schedule).
  • SPT courses are stand alone courses with no prerequisites
  • Program begins five times annually with starts in August, October, January, March, and May.

The following prerequisite course may be necessary for certification completion.

* Course may be waived at the discretion of the department chair or designee. Waivers will only be considered when an equivalent course with a grade of C has been earned in the past 10 years

Students have three options for satisfying a program prerequisite course:

  1. Complete course(s) offered by the H. Wayne Huizenga Collee of Business and Entrepreneurship;
  2. Complete a proficiency examination administrated by a testing organization that has national recognition, such as CLEP and DANTES. Students selecting this option must complete the requirements within their first two semesters with HCBE. After the second semester, courses must be completed with HCBE. Official transcripts must be received by the office of Academic Advising one week prior to register for courses requiring the prerequisite requirement.
  3. Complete the course with another regionally accredited institution. Students should obtain verification from an academic advisor regarding course equivalency at another institution. Students will need to supply a course description for initial evaluation. A course syllabus may be required if additional review is needed.

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or for students with degrees from foreign institutions, an official foreign academic evaluation stating equivalent bachelor’s degree, must be submitted from a NACES organization www.naces.org 
  • Students who have earned a degree from a foreign non-English speaking country must submit English proficiency test scores, (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo, ELS)
  • Additional documents and may be required along with the GMAT or GRE based on review by the admissions committee.
