Monica Paneque began working for NSU in 2009. Since that time, she has held various roles in the university, including work in admissions, marketing, corporate and alumni relations.

Since the 2019 launch of the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy, Monica has served as its founding Director. She works with highly motivated entrepreneurial students in the accelerated dual-degree program, whose goals are to launch their start-up.

Monica also serves as the Chapter Advisor to NSU’s Collegiate DECA student organization, which prepares students from all majors for careers in business through national competitions.

DECA is a not-for-profit student organization, authorized by the United States Congress, the United States Department of Education, and state, district, and international departments of education with nearly 175,000 members in all 50 United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Germany. The Collegiate Division of DECA includes nearly 5,000 members in 200 colleges and universities.

What Monica finds most rewarding about working at Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University, is being able to follow a student’s journey from admission to graduation, and to see their transformation through the years.

Monica holds a B.S. in Business Administration and M.B.A. in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University.
