Director of the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy
Monica began working for NSU in 2009 and since then, has held various roles in admissions, marketing, corporate and alumni relations throughout the university. Currently, Monica is serving as the founding Director of the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy working with entrepreneurial students as they pursue an accelerated dual-degree program along with their dreams of opening a business.
Monica also serves as the Director of Undergraduate Affairs for the College of Business where she acts as liaison with various external and internal community partners, facilitates student engagement and retention, and provides educational and career guidance services to students.
Monica is also Chapter Advisor to NSU’s Collegiate DECA student organization, which prepares students from all majors with business skills through national competitions.
What Monica finds most rewarding about working at NSU, is being able to follow a student’s journey from admission to graduation and see their transformation through the years.
Monica holds a B.S. in Business Administration and M.B.A. in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University.
