Appointments (phone and in-person)
The best way to get in touch with your adviser is via a scheduled appointment. You can schedule a time with your academic adviser by scheduling an appointment online or by calling (954) 262-5067.
Email Advising
If emailing an academic adviser, you can expect to receive a response within 24 - 48 business hours. During peak periods (the first and last week of the term and the start of registration), response time may be extended to 72 business hours.
Staying informed, planning effectively, and engaging in proactive problem-solving are key pieces of succeeding in your academic career. Your academic adviser is here to help you find resources, create plans, and support your academic journey. Make sure to meet with your adviser regularly to ensure that you are on the right track.
Plan ahead. Schedule appointments with your academic adviser well ahead of registration periods; this gives you the opportunity to meet with your adviser and helps to avoid extended wait times at registration.
Know your resources. The answer you’re looking for is often online or in a given resource. The Huizenga Portal, our catalogs, and handbooks are all helpful resources for common course-related questions.
