Dr. John DiBenedetto has held leadership positions in Sales, Operations and Human Resources for 34 years and championed enterprise-wide change initiatives for pedigree companies in the retail/wholesale, financial services and telecommunications industries with Advance Auto Parts, Wal-Mart Stores, Limited Brands, Prudential Securities, Wachovia Bank and AT&T. John retired in 2015 as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer for Raleigh, North Carolina-based General Parts International, Inc. (now Advance Auto Parts) where he led the HR function supporting 26,000 employees across North America.

DiBenedetto now serves as Adjunct Faculty at Nova Southeastern University's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship; The Jack Welch Management Institute and Capella University’s College of Business, Technology and Healthcare Administration where he delivers online graduate-level business courses in Leadership and Human Resource Management.

John also serves as Senior Fellow and Program Director for the Conference Board’s Council of Chief Human Resources Officers where he utilizes his Human Capital Practitioner experience to facilitate best-practices networking meetings for senior HR executives of Fortune 500 companies. He was elected to the Conference Board’s HR Executive Leaders’ Council in 2008 and Council on Learning, Development and Organizational Performance in 2001.

He is an active member in SHRM and ASTD, and has been featured in Workforce, Talent Management, Training and Development, Chief Learning Officer and Diversity Executive magazines. He earned the ASTD BEST Award in 2006 and Masie Learning Innovation/Leadership Award for his talent transformation work at Wal-Mart Stores.

John earned B.B.A. degrees in marketing and accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and an M.B.A. and D.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University's Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His doctoral dissertation is entitled: Analysis of Attitudinal and Behavioral Outcomes Involving Organizational Culture and Change Management. John’s lifetime accomplishments were recognized in 2007 when NSU’s Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship honored him with its Alumni of the Year award.

DiBenedetto has owned 4 small businesses since 1993. The first was Skipper's of Lighthouse Point, Inc., a nautical clothing and accessories manufacturing company. In 2004, he formed DiBenedetto Ventures, LLC and in 2014, Peachtree City Rentals, LLC and Southeast Property Holdings, LLC, all commercial real estate companies specializing in the construction and rental of multi-family units, university student housing and business condominiums in the Southeastern United States.
