Strategic Management: Managing from the Top

At its core, Strategic Management is about creating and sustaining a competitive advantage over other organizations. It is the ongoing planning, monitoring, analysis and assessment of the elements an organization needs to meet its goals and objectives. This webinar will focus on the fundamentals of Strategic Management to effectively run and evaluate an organization as well as the board's role in overseeing an organization.

About the Speaker: Jason Cavich
Dr. Jason Cavich is an associate professor of management and strategy with 23 years of university teaching experience including courses in strategic management, organizational behavior, and human resources. His research interests include strategic management, corporate governance, and shareholder activism as he has multiple publications in these areas. He is a former banking vice president, certified corporate director, and Hogan certified management consultant comprising 20 years of corporate experience.

Financial Literacy and You

Wednesday, April 12, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Who doesn’t need to learn more about how to be smart about managing your finances? We will discuss financial literacy topics including financial personal goal setting, budgeting, taxes, big item purchases, insurance, investments, retirement planning, and estate planning. Pick up some tips for developing your own financial strategy for a more secure future.

About the Speaker: Albert Williams
Albert Williams, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Finance and Economics Department at NSU. He is an award-winning professor who speaks on finance, international trade, business ethics, competitiveness, careers in business, economics, and business statistics. His background as an agricultural economist with the government of Belize, a commodity analyst for Burger King Corporation, and the CEO of a marketing firm, along with research work make him a popular subject matter expert with the media.

Art Weinstein, Ph.D. is a Professor of Marketing at NSU Business and an expert in customer value and business-to-business segmentation. He has provided training, research, and consulting for leading global technology companies. Dr. Weinstein is the author of 8 books and more than 80 scholarly articles about customer-centric marketing strategy. His latest book is Superior Customer Value – Finding and Keeping Customers in the Now Economy.
