Strategic Governance: Understanding the Impact of Governance Actors on Strategic Decisions

Corporate executives are responsible for the strategic decisions that shape a firm's competitiveness and performance in an increasingly complex environment. However, governance actors such as the board of directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders both directly and indirectly constrain those strategic decisions. This webinar will discuss the impact of these actors and how executives can leverage governance actors to make better strategic decisions.

About the Speaker: Jason Cavich
Dr. Jason Cavich is an associate professor of management and strategy with 23 years of university teaching experience including courses in strategic management, organizational behavior, and human resources. His research interests include strategic management, corporate governance, and shareholder activism as he has multiple publications in these areas. He is a former banking vice president, certified corporate director, and Hogan certified management consultant comprising 20 years of corporate experience.

Inflation affects every one of us in many ways. Your income does not go as far as before. Your standard of living may be reduced! As important, your wealth may reduce due to inflation. This presentation explores what happens to the value of a range of assets, including cash in the bank, stocks, bonds, art, and real estate, when exposed to the inflation virus.

About the Speaker: Albert Williams
Albert Williams, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Finance and Economics Department at NSU. He is an award-winning professor who speaks on finance, international trade, business ethics, competitiveness, careers in business, economics, and business statistics. His background as an agricultural economist with the government of Belize, a commodity analyst for Burger King Corporation, and the CEO of a marketing firm, along with research work make him a popular subject matter expert with the media.
