Accounting Analytics

Identify process improvements to help organizations increase efficiencies and gain the ability to sharpen your skills in cybersecurity, financial reporting and auditing.

Public Accounting

Prepare to become a CPA, or launch your career in accounting in financial institutions, government, industry, nonprofit organizations, and public practice.

Tax Accounting

Become an enrolled agent, the highest IRS-awarded credential. Earn the skills to pass the comprehensive IRS test covering individual & business tax returns.

Managerial Accounting

Gain the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) credential to demonstrate your expertise in financial management and professional ethics.

Quick Facts

Curriculum

NSU’s Master of Accounting can be completed in as little as 18 months. The program curriculum is 30-51 total credits, depending on undergraduate coursework.

Start Dates

The Master of Accounting majors are available to start in August, January, and May.

Delivery Options

Classes for the Master of Accounting program are offered through alternate weekends, limited weeknights at our Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus, or online (asynchronous). Online courses may require chat sessions throughout the semester.

NSU Business partners with more than 135 local and national organizations to offer discounted employee tuition of up to 20% through our employer tuition program.

NSU Alumni Tuition Discount

NSU alumni are eligible for a tuition award of 20% off any graduate degree or business certificate program. Alumni also receive an application fee waiver and access to a dedicated adviser to assist throughout the admission process.

Scholarship Opportunities

Who: NSU Students & NSU Alumni enrolled in either of the following two courses: ACT5791 or ACT5792

What: Essay (minimum of two paragraphs) of what becoming a Certified Public Accountant means to you and how the scholarship would support your goal to become a CPA.

Award: $1,000 towards the cost to cover the Becker CPA Exam Review Course as provided by partnership between NSU & Becker. Scholarship does not cover tuition for ACT5791 or ACT5792 (each course is 1.5 credits).

How Often: 3 scholarships per year

Process: Submit essays to Dr. Kidwell (lkidwell@nova.edu) & JoAnn Ackerman (ajoanne@nova.edu) for review and selection.

Student may apply for either Becker CPA Candidate Scholarship or HCBE CPA Candidate Scholarship. Eligible for only one award.
