Program DescriptionThis one-day workshop is structured so that participants understand the relevant concepts and skills that are used by corporate leaders in their strategic planning process. It includes a review of key concepts and multiple hands-on exercises at critical stages of the strategic planning process. Participants will leverage a short real-life business scenario throughout the workshop, as well as refer to their own organization's current situation. InstructorLaura Kozloski, Ph.D. Dr. Kozloski is currently AVP, International Market Analysis and Development for Baptist Health South Florida where she holds responsibility for strategic planning, foreign direct investment planning and consulting services for healthcare organizations internationally. Dr. Kozloski began her business career in the private sector, working with AIRINC, Chase Manhattan Bank, Otis Elevator Company, and Ryder System, Inc. where she conducted in-country market research and/or established business operations in more than 70 countries. Dr. Kozloski has worked on greenfield investment, joint venture, acquisition, and divestiture projects on multiple continents, conducting business in four languages. For 14 years, Dr. Kozloski worked as a full-time faculty in business at Florida International University, Barry University, and Lynn University, with significant additional experience as an adjunct faculty at these universities and at Nova Southeastern University. She is principal of LLK Global Group, LLC, through which she provides strategic planning and business development consulting services to local, national, and international for-profit and non-profit organizations. Dr. Kozloski has also conducted corporate training for several Fortune 500 companies, small and medium sized firms, and public sector service organizations. Dr. Kozloski holds a Ph.D. from the University of Miami as well as an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird, where she was class valedictorian. She received a B.A. from Colby College. Her research interests include international management, international market analysis, market entry and selection strategies, and corporate governance practices as they relate to business performance.
