Why Should You Major in Entrepreneurship at NSU?
Become a Successful Entrepreneur
While it’s no secret that some people succeed in business without a degree, a bachelor’s in entrepreneurship from NSU helps you develop an entrepreneurial mindset and provides you with the skills needed to identify opportunities, communicate with investors, create effective marketing strategies and manage various aspects of your business—from daily operations to global trading and negotiations. Some of NSU’s entrepreneurship graduates go on to start their own businesses, acquire a business or join a family business, while others pursue the M.B.A. with a major in Entrepreneurship in order to gain a master’s level knowledge of how to successfully manage a business.
During your undergraduate studies, you’ll have a number of hands-on opportunities to gain real world experience.
Case Studies
Case studies are one of our most popular opportunities for entrepreneurship and other business majors. A case study starts with real “problem.” Students then work individually or in teams to identify possible solutions and present them to their class. Competitions provide incentives for both the winners and participants, in addition to earning an ExEL unit credit if you enter a case study competition.
Internships
In addition to case competitions, entrepreneurship majors enjoy exclusive internships and have access to our Corporate Speaker Series, workshops, and employer networking events, which bring you face-to-face with leading organizations.
Reserve your seat in one of NSU’s graduate or professional schools while you earn your bachelor’s degree. With NSU’s Dual Admission program, you don’t have to worry about competing with thousands of other students for a spot in a highly selective graduate program. This Premier Program gives you an opportunity to get a head start on your career, so you can start earning sooner.
Your NSU professors are dedicated to ensuring that you have a great academic experience. They regularly review the curriculum to make updates that give you an edge in today’s ever-changing world.
